Terracotta Roof Restoration in Kew
This Kew terracotta roof had heavy moss and lichen across the tiles, broken tiles and deteriorated pointing along the ridge and hip lines.
Heavy moss and lichen, broken tiles and deteriorated ridge pointing required a roof-wide cleaning and repair sequence. The natural terracotta finish was retained, with tile replacement and repointing completed after pressure cleaning.

The roof and gutters were pressure cleaned, broken tiles were replaced and the ridge and hip lines were repointed, restoring the roof while retaining its natural terracotta finish.

Inspect and replace broken tiles
The terracotta tiles, ridge caps and hip lines were inspected, and broken roof tiles were identified and replaced as part of the repair scope.

Pressure clean the roof and gutters
The roof surface and gutters were pressure cleaned to remove moss, lichen and accumulated buildup while retaining the natural terracotta finish.

Repoint the ridge and hip lines
Deteriorated pointing along the ridge and hip lines was renewed with flexible pointing to complete the restoration.
