Roof Repairs in Thomastown
Supreme Roofing Group repaired this leaking tiled roof in Thomastown after several previous repairs had failed to address rusted valley sections beneath the tiles. We replaced two valleys, installed storm seals, rebedded and repointed all ridges and hips, and replaced broken tiles.
Coating the visible valley centre would leave corroded sections beneath the tiles untreated. Lifting the tiles revealed severe rust in those concealed areas, helping explain the continuing leaks despite previous repairs. The agreed scope replaced both valleys and renewed the ridge, hip and broken-tile details.

Two deteriorated valleys were replaced and storm seals installed. All ridge and hip capping was rebedded and repointed with flexible pointing, and broken roof tiles were replaced. The existing tiled roof was retained.

Inspect the concealed valley sections
The customer initially asked about an anti-rust coating on the visible valleys. We explained that coating the exposed centre would leave the sections beneath the tiles untreated. Lifting the tiles revealed severe rust in those concealed areas, helping explain the continuing leaks after previous repairs.

Replace two rusted valleys and install storm seals
Removed the deteriorated valley metal and fitted two replacement valleys with storm seals along the valley edges.

Rebed and repoint all ridges and hips
Renewed the mortar bedding and applied flexible pointing to all ridge and hip capping.
